Installation problems

by

Lately we received some bug reports regarding 2 installation problems – fortunately we have solutions for the problems available 🙂

  • The correct version of the rth.sql file can be downloaded here.
  • If you experience any problems with FCKEditor (“Failed opening ‘./fckeditor/fckeditor.php’ for inclusion”) simply rename the folder “FCKEditor” to “fckeditor”

Both problems are fixed in CVS and will be part of the next release of RTH.

Sorry for any inconveniences!

Trying to install rth 1.7.1 for the first time. Could not install with rth.sql attached to release with error “#1064 – You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘table `bug` (
    `BugID` int(8) unsigned NOT NULL auto_increment,
    `ProjectID`’ at line 1”.
Tried above sql and it fails “#1101 – BLOB/TEXT column ‘LockComment’ can’t have a default value”.
    Env: WinXP/Apache2.2/mySql 5.1.23/PHP5.2.9-1

Did you try this rth.sql file? http://rth.liedl.at/rth.sql

      • YM Says:

Yes, when I’m importing new file i get error below:
        #1101 – BLOB/TEXT column ‘LockComment’ can’t have a default value

      • YM Says:

Had to remove default from ‘testset’.’LockComment’ and ‘verifyresults’.’ActualResult’. Also needed to remove leading space from ‘teststep’.’Inputs’ of “INSERT INTO teststep VALUES(4,1,0,”1…” . I was importing using phpmyadmin. I don’t know if these problems were caused by my env, but after resolving these 3 problem was able to complete import.

Sounds strange to me – from my experience its easier and more likely to work if you use mysql commandline tool as described in the installation doc.

Furthermore you could have a look at https://requirementsandtestinghub.wordpress.com/certified-environment/ and check the versions you are using.
