New developer

October 18, 2009 by requirementsandtestinghub

Due to my new job I’m having hardly any time to work on RTH – so Im really happy to announce that a new developer joined the project. He is currently focusing on fixing some bugs and I hope that we can soon release a new version with some of the fixes.

We also want to include some new localisations, so if you have translated RTH in your language please send your files so we can include them – THANKS!

XML Bridge for RTH

October 2, 2009 by requirementsandtestinghub

I just got a message from Benjamin Balet who implemented a RTH to XML bridge:

Hello,
I’m developing (free/GPL) tools around RTH and I translated articles
posted on my blog in english (or frenglish/globlish ;) ).
The first one is a simple way to retrieve data from RTH Database
(I am using it so as to connect automated testing tools and for an Excel reporting tool) :
* XML Bridge for RTH :
 http://www.computure.net/en/computer-articles/2-test/46-xml-bridge-for-rth
And in French:
 * Un Bridge XML pour RTH :
 http://www.computure.net/fr/articles-informatique/2-test/46-bridge-xml-pour-rth
Don’t hesitate to comment / suggest.
Best Regards,
 Benjamin BALET

I invested some time to go through all the emails I received in the last time and I extracted the most common questions and put them on a FAQ page. I will extend this page continuously with new questions and answers.

Status update

August 11, 2009 by rthscags

As I said a few weeks ago I have some news regarding RTH: In the near future I will no longer be with my current company (which also uses RTH) and I will have to find new work. Since I’m not really sure if my new company will also use RTH it might be that my already limited time left for RTH will be even more limited.

But the good news is that in the meantime I will have some time left which I will invest to update documentation and help and there will be a new release of RTH including some minor fixes. This will be somewhen in September so stay tuned for more.

20.000 downloads!

July 6, 2009 by rthscags

Today we reached the number of 20.000 downloads of RTH!

Lately there was little progress in RTH development but in the next few months this will change – the reason for this will be announced later.

Thanks for the help!

April 14, 2009 by rthscags

Today, I once more received a bug fix implemented by an RTH-user and so I thought this would be a good opportunity to say “Thank you” to everybody out there who has submitted fixes or improvements to RTH!

As you can see on http://requirementsandtestinghub.wordpress.com/about/ my resources are very limited and so I’m really thankful for every help I can get and I try to include your submitted code as fast as possible!

Thank you!

Removed “File-Type” drop-down box

April 10, 2009 by rthscags

Today I disabled (commented it out in the code) the “File-Type”  drop-down box in the supporting-docs screen. I don’t think that anybody used this box in the past as it displayed the test-types instead of useful file-types. If you have used it in the past please let me know – the simple way to re-enable it is to remove the “#” charcters in line 758-765 in test_detail_page.php.
